Dynamos executive's behaviour retrogressive

EDITOR,
The behaviour of the Dynamos executive must be condemned for its retrogressive intention and potential to drag the local game through the mud. It must be remembered that not long ago the Hwange coach was manhandled by Dynamos marshals on their way to winning the league title.
The admission by the Dynamos executive that they wanted to choose their own referee and that Philani Ncube was not qualified to handle their games is a poor advertisement of their ignorance. It will be creating organised chaos to allow teams to shop for preferred referees.
The unpardonable sin of Philani Ncube is that he has refused to be intimidated and has also not bowed down to the hooligan element in the Dynamos camp that believes that mighty is right Was it not Dynamos supporters who vandalised BF and uprooted the Supersport equipment when their team through an own goal drew with Tsholotsho? Maybe the referee was supposed to disallow it on the basis that the player who scored it had made a mistake.
I expected the Dynamos executive to come out strongly in condemnation of the uncouth behaviour of their players. In progressive leagues the executive would have taken strong action against the players ahead of the PSL hearing. To believe that the Dynamos executive is supporting such behaviour leaves a sour taste and puts question marks on their judgment. In my view the disciplinary committee was very lenient with the hooligans masquerading as soccer players.
Maybe a season's ban could have met the extent of their unbecoming behaviour. We are tired of players who incite violence. The lame excuse that other teams have not been punished can be equated to an orphan who killed both parents and pleads for sympathy on the basis of being orphaned. We have sponsors in the League and maybe the behaviour of the so-called executive is driven by jealousy given the uncontestable achievements of the current PSL leadership.
Unable to win the League, clobbered in the Chibuku Cup and with nothing to show for all the noise they made throughout the season the Dynamos antics look malicious and selfish. Their sponsors must ask themselves whether they really want to be associated with an executive that supports hooliganism and seeks to promote lawlessness in football If they want to withdraw from the PSL surely, they must do so quietly. Our referees will be safer and our soccer fairer without a team that always wants to have its away and behaves like a bull in a china shop.
