Teachers at neighbouring school terrorised by PSC
25 Jan 2016 at 10:36hrs | Views
Cdes yesterday PSC officials visited our District here in Gokwe south. They terrorized Teachers at Rugora Primary in a fashion we have never seen.Teachers were humiliated in front of children and the community.
Teachers we forced to stand at attention in a single line whilst being inspected like goats at the market place.
Male teachers and the Deputy Head were publicly humiliated and insulted for failing to properly wear a neck tie while lady teachers were verbally insulted.
'Iwe enda unopfeka unofamba wakashama chipfuva chiri pachena", one lady teacher was told.
Those teachers who recorded a 14% pass rate were told, "murikutamba Hapana zvamurikuita ende makawandisa ende muchabva pano imimi even muri first to come".
Sure is this acceptable?
Is this how other teachers are being treated all over?
Now is the time to defend our profession as a collective.
