Corrupt MDC-T Harare councillors must resign - PDP

MDC-T Harare councilors should immediately resign as they 'have hands as dirty as those of their ZANU-PF counterparts' Peope's Democratic Party official has said.
PDP Harare Provincial Spokesperson Nqobizitha Khumalo said MDC-T councillors are "so clueless with dealing with the challenges facing them".
"The MDC-T can claim that it never expected its councillors to serve as opposition but to be in the ruling party.
"That could explain why they are so clueless with dealing with the challenges facing them. Look at the situation bedevelling Harare now," said Khumalo..
"Serve delivery is at a standstill. Buzzing flies accost you and the stink of effluent assails your nostrils from burst sewage pipes and rotting rubbish.
"I have since firmly pursed my lips against the lethal poison that Harare city water has become as Morton Jeffrey waterworks have become nothing but a lamedog white elephant. There is the issue of the so called potholes.
"Etymologically the word pothole should denote a hole the size of an average domestic pot. Now what do you call a void in the road the size of your average wheelbarrow or donkey cart? Is it still a pothole? Yet that is the scenario we face in Harare right now.
"Right under the noses of Harare City Council illegal structures sprung up.
"Vendors took up stalls right before their eyes. Doubtless the council will cite interference by government and ZANU-PF structures.
"Granted there is some truth in that but the hands of MDC-T councillors and functionaries are not totally clean here. Who does not know the revolting corruption of some of them.
"Some have been expelled and a host more are under probe for corruption. I personally witnessed MDC-T youths being bussed from areas like Epworth to go and parcel out vending stands in the CBD with the blessing of their leaders.
"There are even areas that MDC-T members have themselves been land barons parcelling and selling land.
"Today the council either stands aside or actively participates in the cruel destruction of people's houses- houses of people used as expendable pawns in a dirty game of power politics.
"The MDC-T councillors have hands as dirty as those of their ZANU-PF counterparts. The party stands accused of all the vices for which ZANU-PF stands accused and the only thing they lack is incumbency and the power that comes with it. Here we have two parties sharing powers of government,".
