Is this the Zimbabwe ZAPU fought for?
14 Apr 2016 at 12:20hrs | Views
Our beloved fathers;brothers;sisters and all citizens of Zimbabwe who were fed up on minority rule took arms and formed ZAPU which further on formed its military wing Zipra which took arms and fight the Smith regime until minority rule ended.
I remember the song "Majority sakhal'isibhamu eZimbabwe yen'u Smith wayivuma I majority" this song was sung all over Zimbabwe by people thanking the Zipra forces who eradicated apartheid; segregation; group Areas act ;pass laws Act and many more apartheid laws which were imposed to blacks .Independence was brought to the Zimbabweans through barrel of a gun by ZAPU.
Today as we are approaching the day which was declared independence day 18-04-1980;instead of celebrating we are commemorating because more killings; abductions; unfair rigged elections; beatings and torture of activists from opposition parties have been happening after we had declared that Zimbabwe is no longer a dominion it is autonomous.
Is this Zimbabwe which ZAPU fought for? Any one can answer; are we enjoying equal rights? Are we having adequate access to better housing; health facilities; education; sanitation; are we having good infrastructure; working communication networks; good roads ?
Are we having industries which controls the means of production? Are we exporting finished products and getting profits?;Does Zimbabwe have a currency ? Are we having a good GDP per annum? If we have all these then our economy would be stable.
Zimbabwe situation is now similar to the stateless societies and we are going back to hunters and gathers lifestyles because of ZANU which failed to govern after war.
ZANU need ZAPU to substitute it completely so that people are saved from danger. For how long are we going to wait as Zimbabweans.
Let us all join our hands and stop this issue of Zimbabweans Absolute Nothing Utmost (ZANU) ZAPU is there to rule and ZANU must pave the way.
