So what's next for Dynamos?
29 May 2016 at 14:26hrs | Views
It is with very sad to be a Dynamos player now. The flavour of failure favours those who have dominated others for so long. It is time for all those involved to feel the pain and understand that victory is a temporary pleasure which had become an addiction by the Executives and supporters.
So what does this mean to Zimbabwe football when the tables have turned in favour of the weak who have been dominated for so long?
It is now party time in Matebeleland where the Bosso supporters are mostly populated. They deserve it as they had faith in their new foreign coach. They are organised and are trying their best to be at the pinnacle of Zimbabwe football though it will be difficult with to dislodge it from FC Platinum and Caps Utd.
So what does this mean to the grassroots football I'm currently involved with Zimbabwe Football Development Academy?
There are some positives from the demise of Dynamos, as Bosso have been seeding their young players in the Southern Region Division which is now bearing fruits with junior policy of youth development. The Glamour Boys dubbed the Galacticos of Zimbabwe havebeen known to outmuscle other clubs financially buying the cream dela cream of Zimbabwe football. Their junior policy which developed players like Memory Mucherahohwa seems to have faded into oblivion as they only get desperateplayers as Harare City and Caps Utd have been attracting players with good deals and player packages.
Like what they always say that when a big lion gets hungry and there is nothing to survive on it will turn to its cubs for a meal. Could this bethe casefor Dynamos that they are now crippling the perfomance of their players due to abuse and ill treatment by the Executives? The era of juju has gone and tactical genius has taken over testimony to iTouch football by the shrewd coach Mapeza at the FC Platinum club in lowveld.
Back to the question of grassroots football i raised before. As Dynamos was the inspiration and motivation for young talent in Zimbabwe, with the current situation young players will shy away from derelic football giant in search of a viable system that yields a bright future as it seems bleak now.
The Dynamos brand has been destroyed both by players and the Executives, especially when it is now normal for De Mbare players to fail. Its like sending a student at UZ for 3 years on a scholarship only for the student to graduate with only a culture of dreadlocks / drugs with no degree and a very weak immune system.
When there is a serious conflict in any family, it is the children that suffers most as adults concentrate on their own egos while the young players suffer in silence.
I thought this season i would focus more on grassroots football but it seems the hope of young players are being killed by the abysmal situation at De Mbare.
So it time for Mutasa to accept that hehas failed as we can all see that it will soon get worse.
