Biti is fast loosing direction

Some politicians are fast becoming useless before they are politically mature and self confidant, the case in point is the opposition People's Democratic Party leader Tendai Biti. The opposition leader is appealing for $8 000 to help young activists who have been occupying Africa Unity Squire on a 16-day protest against President Mugabe's regime. However this appeal for help to release the victims cannot go without scrutiny as they are also charged for attacking and stealing from the three innocent ladies in their endeavour to effect regime change.

It seems that Biti wants to seek attention from the general populace as he is failing to convince the electorate to rally behind him as he lacks charisma and the political acumen to seek the much needed prowess to effect regime change, which is proving to be a Mammoth task to remove ZANU-PF from power.

The activists are facing two counts of robbery and defeating the cause of justice. The state also says that Patson Dzamara and his accomplices confronted the complainants and snatched their handbags before searching them. They allegedly stole the three ladies' school uniforms, red jersey, and pair of trousers, jean skirt and wallet with $30. The other complainant lost three school jerseys and one floral dress.

It is reportedly said by the police that the alleged accused persons resisted arrest and took away a constable's cap and baton stick while allegedly dragging him to a Honda Fit parked nearby. According to the court papers Dzamara and his accomplices were later arrested and police recovered the stolen property valued at $50. A quick but shrewd glance at the accusations suggests that these activists are thugs and thieves who should stay in custody as they have proved not to be the right candidates for bail.

Biti is so thirsty for supporters that he has gone to the extent of appealing to thugs who has stolen and harassed innocent ladies during the night. Surely when these politicians go on a crusade preaching democracy they include the rule of law and when the courts pass on the verdict not in their favour they cry foul. For how long shall this brood of vipers keep on preying on innocent citizens? People with no agenda should not keep pestering on the electorate for they know what they are doing.

Biti and his little known party should just keep quiet and concentrate on recruiting more supporters explaining their ideology, manifesto, if they have at all and the strategies they have to revive the economy. In fact Biti and the PDP on their own are insignificant coterie of individuals politically; it is who they represent that is a great threat, which is White Western capital.

All in all as a peace loving nation we should not be seen promoting thuggish behavour in the name of regime change.
