Decoding Lumumba's message

Zimbabweans missed the main thrust of Ace Lumumba's message, when he used the F word to president Mugabe, by focusing on the swear words. Here is what you missed:Zimbabweans continually watch a showdown between vice-presidents. Some members of the public join in and demonstrate against one vice president or the other and some political parts join in in critisizing one vice-president or the other. After a few years, the VPs are changed. All that energy spent by Zimbabweans comes to naught. They thought they were fighting ZANU by what they were doing but discover that there is no VP who is firmly entrenched in ZANU. They too are disposable. Zimbabweans have wasted their time shadow boxing. ZANU is summed up in one man and one man only, Mr R.G. Mugabe. So what Lumumba is saying , is that the only way to fight ZANU is to fight one man only, and that is R.G. Mugabe. Everyone in ZANU changes over time but the one constant person in ZANU is its president. He is ZANU.
The response to Lumumba's message from Zimbabweans was also very revealing. A lot of Zimbabweans advised him to skip the country because Zimbabwean jails are not nice places. This has been the response of a large number of Zimbabweans over the years. Their philosophy is that if you have a problem with ZANU, do not face the problem head-on but run away and become part of the 3 million in the diaspora who are running away from ZANU (which is essentially one man). So what Lumumba is saying is that the only way to change Zimbabwe is by standing up and drawing a line to say "I have had enough of ZANU. I am now prepared to speak out directly against ZANU/Mr Mugabe, even if it means they will kill me".
This is precisely what Zimbabwe has been lacking. It is because of the lack of people bold enough to draw the line that the country is in the situation that it is in today. Lumumba's unsaid request was this: 'I have drawn the line. If I draw the line alone, I may not live long but if you join VIVAZIMBABWE (not necessarily as a political party) in drawing your line too, the jails cannot hold 7 million Zimbabweans. ZANU cannot kill 7 million Zimbabweans".
Those who have knowledge of how to use twitter, please start a hashtag where we as Zimbabweans can all draw our lines and say enough is enough. Please include instructions on how we can all join in that pertition as Zimbabwe witnesses a new era.
