Are Harare demonstrations aimless

It has been interesting to follow what is happening in Harare on social media. I would like to draw to your attention a big distinction between the demonstrations that I have seen in Harare verses the Beitbridge demonstration.
Harare: Whether in a hotel or on the street, the strategy appears to be confront the police and be vocal. The result appears to be the same. The citizens are badly outgunned by the police and end up being overcome. This does bring publicity but probably not much more.
Beitbridge: Demonstrate, burn a government facility and then run away. This results in economic pain to the government and a lot of concern and fear on the part of the government.
We do not yet have all the news in yet from Harare so this armchair observation may be revised in the future.
