"Every day the bucket goes to the well but one day the bottom is going to drop out" (Bob Marley)
I laughed out loud listening to ZBC 8:19pm news last night which I was watching out of mere curiosity on what they would say. There was an obvious delay as someone had to approve the script. What a comedy.

What amazes me further are the news readers, they have mastered the art of dishing out lies without a flinch and I feel sorry for them but again it's their choice to read the news and work at ZBC.

If anything #ThisFlag and #Tajamuka have heralded the end of politics as we know them. Citizens are now taking the responsibility to claim their space while your traditional politicians must now follow. I did however notice a certain political party statement wanting to take credit, that is typical and so old school.

I think that Evan Mawarire has laid out the appropriate and urgent demands while #Tajamuka seems to have a more radical approach to things and are demanding that Mugabe and his coterie step down now. I support both and it is important that in these times we all are united as we fight the dictator. These two groupings deserve all the credit for starting us on a new trajectory of citizen empowerment and responsibility. Well done and let the fight continue.

The best scenario for all of us is of course for Mugabe and his team to call it a day, but I think it will take much more than a day's shutdown. We must not however give up but be emboldened by developments so far. What is evident is that through persistence and a concerted effort we can indeed change our circumstances.

As my colleague Trevor Ncube always says, it's a process not an event and today we have begun a new trajectory whether they like it or not. Change will change them.

We must also remember that this regime must appear unshaken and bold to take on the challenge but when the bottom of the bucket drops we shall see these same men telling us they wanted change more than we do. They are cowards caught up in spider's web of lies, greed and corruption. Their day of reckoning will surely come.

Well done #ThisFlag and #Tajamuka, let the struggle continue until final victory.
