To be a religious leader in the past was a sacred call

The cash vs the call! In the past to be a religious leader it was a sacred call, that religious people believed that only God can call religious leaders to serve on the holy alter. And this call was rare and highly respected within communities. Many people who got this call, use to battle with being certain if they were really called for this purpose. It was a call that had nothing to do with your background or your popularity. However it had everything to do with upholding Godly statutes and doctrines. So for this statutes and doctrines to be well understood and well interpreted, there was suppose to be a priest as a mediator between God and His people. Even the priest was made a priest by God's grace, not by merit.
Then centuries after we witness something completely different concerning the calling. Today to be a priest is like going on a fashion parade, and choosing outfits. It's as easy as ABC, everyone claims to have a calling and a special anointing to be a religious leader. Even people who can't even define the word discipline believe they have a calling. How can followers be disciplined if the leader is corrupt. We see self ordained preachers, we see preachers who are carrying more of their own best interest. It's all about God said this, God said that, but what proof do we have that God has really spoken to them. Left and right all over South Africa, some are preaching, some are prophesying, and some are miraculous healers. And when you look very closely they read the same bible, but their messages contradict. Then you will turn to understand that they are competing amongst themselves, about who is more powerful and great preacher. Then you realise that something somewhere is definitely not right and not real.
Even followers are mostly confused that's the reason they move from one church to another searching for the most powerful and miracles performer preachers. It's no longer about going to church for the maintain or building up of human morals and values through God's words, in short harmony does no longer exist in churches. It's all about demonstration of power, I guess it's more of demonstration of Pastors abilities, it's no longer about God's direction and will. No wonder we have new churches being opened everyday but the good morals and values in our country are fading away everyday, I wonder what are people being taught at church.
I guess this self ordained preachers they know that if they confuse people with powers and miracles messages, then they will control their minds, Off course mind control and manipulation is the order of today's churches. Think with me if a person is controlled she/he can do anything. That's why we here of people who give a lot of money in churches without being conscious of what they are doing. The problem here is not to give a lot of money, but is to give it under manipulation.
We also see many preachers from foreign countries flowing in South Africa, with the mission to help people they say. But if you look at the countries they come from, those countries need more help than us. I then realise that it's also a question of which country has more money to take. Seriously if I am given the power to help people, I could help my people first. I urge South Africans to be very careful of Preachers who have no calling, but they just preach to make quick cash. The bible says; Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwards they are ravening wolves (Matthew 7:15).
