Do you know we are Zimbabwe's richest town in minerals? Our small city was built on top of gold, oh yes these minerals started to be extracted during the colonial era but up to now there are still vast under our blessed land.

But how come we are very poor, where is all that gold going? Ndiani arikudya mafuta ayo nyika ruzhinji ruchitambura kudai?

- ZISCO, Dyno Nobel, Lanchashire, Sables, Haggie-Rand, all other major industries and all sources of employment in Kwekwe were closed down.

No more jobs for us tafa nenzara. Are we going to fold our hands and look at our children starving???? NOOOO.

Kwekwe Arise now is the time to reclaim our lost glory. Those in power have failed and it's a fact. Am launching this initiative #KwekweNgaisimuke a non-violent platform for citizens in Kwekwe where we discuss about all these challenges in our dying town of Kwekwe and collectively seek solutions.

#KwekweNgaisimuke.
