'Leave Norton residents alone'

Dear Editor'
Please allow me to express my views over politician Temba Mliswa's bid to become a legislator in our beloved Norton Constituency. Even though constitutionally it is his right to contest in this election, I feel this young gentleman has gone a step further in taking us Norton residents for granted.
We know very well what he is made of and what his intentions are after winning the constituency. We have had some like him before in the name of the just booted out Christopher Mutsvangwa whom we believed was to resuscitate our dying town's industry as he rightly declared he would do during his campaigns but only for him to disappear for good. His only contribution was to erect a "stand" for a public 100' inch television which only last for a week which was a clear indication of a mockery on Norton residents.
We know he will come and promise us heaven on earth just like what Mutsvangwa did when he promised us that every city and town in Zimbabwe was going to take a cue from Norton in matters concerning development as he had some Chinese investors waiting to do business in Norton but alas, the only Chinese thing we got came in the form of the already mentioned television which leaves many of wondering what kind of people he viewed us like.
Now it is Mr. Mliswa's turn to promise us many things in the name of development when we know very well that he once promised the people of Hurungwe many things he never fulfilled. His involvement is this election appear to be hinged on his own personal interest if one looks deeply at his past especially the way he lost his Hurungwe seat and as genuine voters who always vote wisely, we are tempted to believe that his is not a genuine cause for us Norton residents but that he has some scores to settle with his former party ZANU PF at our own expense. NO Temba! Please do it in Hurungwe not in Norton. We will go for someone who was born and bred in Norton not you John-come-lates.
To fellow Norton residents I am just urging you not to be continuously taken for fools by these greedy politicians who are only bent on enriching themselves at the expense of our votes. We have genuine residents, children of Norton who know what is supposed to be done in our constituency, not people who come from afar who bring their little cash which does not last long and then never bring any development to our lovely town. Let's all say never to this and elect someone from our town who will be our own MP.
Let's vote wisely!
