6 weeks not electricity

Editor,

Hide my id please. I'm a Happy hill  resident in Harare that is the medium density suburb to the left side near Kuwadzana flyover. We lost power on the 13th of March 2017 that will simply translate to just over a month and 2 weeks without electricity.

Investigations show that it was a transformer that was vandalised by oil thieves at night. I have tried to engange Zesa officials to give us an official communication in regards to when we are likely to get our transformer replaced but nothing is coming out.

We have tried to be patient but we have since lost hope of getting connected soon. If it takes more than 45 days to replace a transformer in Harare how long will it take to replace one in Honde valley or Mkumbura down in the remote village.

Im appealing to the relevant pple at Zesa to look into our matter as soon as possible because we have suffered enough. Imagine its been raining and temperature is falling as winter is fast approaching without electricity its becoming difficult and expensive bccoz we are now resorting to buying fuel, firewood and charcal for cooking, ironing  , lighting etc.

I wish to challenge Zesa public relations to look into our matter please. Areas like Budiriro and waterfalls had the same challenge exactly the same time as us but surprisingly their power was restored in 3 weeks time .

Please Zesa toita sei kuti towanewo magetsi tatambura isu tiri muno muHarare????
