Dead Editor,

Thank you for publishing most of my articles sent to your publication. I truly enjoy expressing myself through your opinion columns as they are doing very well in terms of views and getting fair coverage. Kindly consider my new article for the day written as follows:

Meet the new presidential advisor of His Excellency, Advocate E.D Mnangangwa!

All protocol observed! Ladies and gentleman, may I extend my full greetings of ultimate hope to all of you. My name is Mthokozisi Ndiweni, and I am the new "self-appointed" advisor to the interim president of the Republic of Zimbabwe until further notice.

My promise is that I shall be available 24/7 to the presidium by any means possible as a #OneDayAdvisor on any of the strategic and state of emergency matters of key national interest. I shall always give my honest advise without fear or favour, and without any "criminal elements" motives at all.

To start with the very basics, I hereby take the president through a strategic nation I have identified to have his presidential honeymoon, or make the first official state visit and put his first signature on a necessary bilateral agreement. Without much waste of time, I would like to reveal the country which is a full complete package, and it suitably meets all these basic requirements of a new president.

Mr New President, allow me to welcome you to the Republic of Rwanda! It's president is called Mr Paul Kagame. I would understand that you are still trying to familiarise yourself with some of these names in the Presidents' Club. In our country it was a no brainer because we always had just one name to know.

There are a number of glaring similarities between Mr Kagame and yourself regarding your own ascendency to Presidency. Some of the quick highlights about some similarities are as follows. He grew up in exile in Uganda, and you were in exile in Zambia. He fought in a Bush War and you also did in Zimbabwe. Some sources implicate him in the Rwandan Genocide especially that he may have instigated it; and you have the same record of implications regarding Gukurahundi massacres.

He once had a dual position of Vice President and Minister of Defence; while you also have been Vice President, and Minister of Justice and Parliamentary Affairs at the same time.
Moreso, he "captured the army" and had the National Assembly as his puppet while he was the "de facto" leader of Rwanda. This is just is more of your similar strategy Mr President of Zimbabwe!

Interestingly, he took over the office when the President of Rwanda resigned; that is exactly the same script of what happened with your own "kutonga kwaro" garweism scenario if my elementary copy and paste is correct.

However, he seems to have done well for the Rwandans. But, he now may overstayed his welcome all the same. Anyway, I strategically chose this country for you to go and learn things that matter the most for our situation which is how to deal with genocide. Your State Visit will give you an opportunity to find a good template to customise and use it to attend to Gukurahundi Genocide.

In Rwanda, they made genocide denial a serious crime which has even cost some public officials their positions! By the way you are a Lawyer by profession, and a highly experienced lawmaker. It must be an easy thing to legislate "genocidal denial" as a treasonous charge in Zimbabwe! Rwanda is a nation which indeed took the road less travelled in Africa and managed to truly "let bygones be bygones".

Not a bad example to follow at all! Actually, go there to Rwanda and sign your very first bi-lateral agreement to assist you try and heal our land regarding the evils of Gukurahundi massacres.

Our nation stinks with tribalism in every square inch of our territory, for obvious reasons that some ethnic groups were and are considered not worth to be integrated into the society of Zimbabwe and be made part of a sovereign state in modern times. I would tell you that if some ethnic groups in our country were to choose a better devil between tribalism and racism; our own experience Mr President currently points to racism as better choice to live with.

Thank you for considering my advise. By the way, I would not mind to be part of your delegation to Rwanda on this matter. Can you believe it Mr President, they even have museums and heritage sites about the genocide which took place in that country in the most recent past! 1980s are older than 1990s, so in all honest they are the ones who could have been learning from us on how to deal with such a sad past of any nation in this world!

Written by Mthokozisi Ndiweni seeking a declaration of a state of emergency that will bring holistic therapeutic and lasting solutions to address the neglected genocidal past in the nation of Zimbabwe.
