Stop this village politics, bring back business to our Bulawayo
31 Jan 2014 at 00:09hrs | Views
I recently visited a prominent Bulawayo milk and juice packaging company and I spoke to one Mr Phiri, representing a Harare based company I was told categorically by this Mr Phiri to go away they only support Bulawayo based suppliers!
My question is that if they don't want Harare suppliers why do they sell their products in Harare then, moreover why buy most critical inputs from Harare?
I'm a Bulawayo son who thinks that there are ways we can solve our issues other than apathy xenophobic tendencies tribalism etc.
Let's work hard to bring back business to our Bulawayo by doing business at national level not play village politics because at the end day these small businesses we are trying to protect will dwindle by not being accepted nationally because of our lack of perception. E.G if Harare people were to boycott Bulawayo manufactured goods will that work better Mr Phiri? I wonder.
