DARE PRESIDENT WRITES A LETTER TO MUGABE
An Open Letter To Robert Gabriel Mugabe
Hope I find you relaxed far from the madding crowd but in the serenity of Indonesia .You are obviously in comfort of opulence and superb architecture as well as exquisite food as provided by your host. Your eminent position sir in three jackets should really make you hot property in Jarkata.
Obviously you left us back here as our empty stomachs settled down into daily grumbles after your long speech at independence day which touched on past delights and revoked an earlier decision on bonuses exposing your inconsistency, discord and apparent discontent over fiscal policy .Once again sir you took away with you a chunk of our taxes which could have gone towards xenophobia victims which back here demanded your time and energy. It is, indeed pathetic sir that you failed to welcome back daughters and sons of the soil whom you were recently begging to continue remitting finances to Zimbabwe. Indeed sir for the lost host governor Ncube to welcome our great sons and tell them openly that they will be free to go back to hell when the fires have died down is the worst insult.
If you can be reminded sir that those sons and daughters were in South Africa not by choice but by your own hand as a failed statesmen on economy, corruption, looting, nepotism and political violence which reared its ugly head from 1985 to present. Indeed sir let us remind you of many corrupt activities which have gone unpunished and celebrated. Most of the Willow gate and other scandals perpetrators still walk free although government coffers where looted.
Cuthbert Dube and Geoge Charamba continue to be in headlines while the later even continues to play karate with information allegedly tendered a resignation which you allegedly refused on the expose of looting.
Against the better expose of Themba Mliswa, Billy Rautenbach still walks a freeman with the largest tract of land in Zimbabwe when after all he is a white foreigner which people you so much despise. It is, indeed sir a pity that you continue to engage people of dubious characters in Asian business people, Nikuv, Rautenbach who are allegedly known criminals and wanted people as the latter has a price on his head in South Africa and Europe.
Sir you have failed to address bread and butter issues as Zimbabwe has turned into a service and vending country without manufacturing industry and agricultural productivity. It is a shame indeed that we have turned into a begging basket and continue to beg for maize from Zambia and other countries. Obviously you can blame climate changes but it surely points to a drought of governance .Sir I want to remind you that Zimbabweans in South Africa have suffered whilst you went gallivanting, played the musketeer and watched your wife dance with President Jacob Zuma. Indeed the music did not die in those ears before the seeds of failure germinated and sprouted into violence.
The opulence, grandeur and royalty you presented definitely reminded violent unemployed South Africans who only needed King Zwelithini to scream crime and jobs before murdering and butchering Zimbabweans. Of all the countries in South Africa sir, Zimbabwe arguably has the greatest number of people working and erking a living to feed families back home.
It pains sir because you came from the bush to settle at home while our own children are now running away to settle on foreign countries in pursuit of the very freedom you fought to bring into Zimbabwe. Such is a stark reminder of how life and expectations have turned full circle. Sir as I write this letter to your excellency I want to remind you that Itai Dzamara is still not with his family nor in custody or produced at law. It is sir a lid and indictment on any efforts or pretense towards democracy, rule of law and human rights respect, even the courts have given ultimatums which seem to be falling on clogged ears. Indeed sir let me take this opportunity to wish you a good and healthy stay in Indonesia as well as fruitful memorandums of agreements which we hope will translate into liquid, jobs and development.
