Open Letter to Jenny Williams
26 Jan 2016 at 10:29hrs | Views
Jenny Williams mind your inconsequential Women of Zimbabwe Arise (WOZA) business and leave Zanu-PF's internal political matrix alone.
You are not qualified to instruct President Robert Gabriel Mugabe to choose a successor now. However, be reminded that Cde Mugabe was chosen by the Zanu-PF party to represent them. He didn't impose himself.
Similarly, if the need to have another leader arises, the same people that chose him will do so accordingly. There is no room, whatsoever for a possible vacuum as you pessimistically anticipate in your prophecy of doom.
Williams, this is time for you to concentrate on your own business at WOZA which is facing collapse, rather than peeping your donkey muzzled-nose into Zanu-PF affairs without invitation.
Zanu-PF has a clear cut succession plan. Hence, you cannot dupe all people to believe that there is confusion in Zanu-PF over who takes over after Cde Mugabe. All those forming groups and canvassing for the president's post are wasting their time as they are in fact, in total defiance of the party's procedures on nominating the appropriate candidate.
All Zanu-PF supporters are fully aware of the suitable due process which should take effect when the right time comes along.
Williams get it right now, that it is Zanu-PF that has the prerogative responsibility to choose Cde Mugabe's successor at party level, not every other Jack and Jill like you. And besides, you have never seen Zanu-PF interfering with the classic confusion taking centre stage in your WOZA. Likewise, you are urged to desist from the ruling party business now.
In his capacity as the national President, Cde Mugabe was voted by the entirety of the Zimbabwean electorate to lead them till 2018. His term persists till the expiry of the term when the same voters will be required to vote a candidate of their choice.
So Jenny Williams if you nothing useful to say, go and tend your chickens.
