Open letter to Mai Mujuru

Dear Mai Mujuru,

I hope this letter has found you well and at a stable peace of mind as you seem to be busy with your National Electoral Reform Agenda (Nera) thing. I also trust that you will find time to read this piece of letter, as it seeks to advice you on your recent utterances.

First and foremost, I encourage you to stop interfering with security forces, especially the Zimbabwe Republic Police. I was shot of words when I read an article in a daily press where you were trying to garner favour from the police officers saying these violent protests will also benefit them.

I want you Mai Mujuru to understand that, it is the responsibility of these police officers to maintain peace and order in the country, and they are being rewarded for that. I'm sure you are quite aware of this, since you once served in government for quite some time. So, I really wonder what form of benefit you were talking about here. Are you not looking for political sympathy from the police officers?

I used to admire you, Mai Mujuru, during your days as Vice President of the country. I thought as a woman and mother, you were lighthearted but no, this is something else. I feel pity for your followers who call you "Mother of nation" for the wrong reasons. What will the nation benefit from a merciless person like you?

 You have shown the world that you are ruthless. Don't you need a peaceful country? Will you be happy to see those hooligans destroying and looting shops in town or even stoning innocent people who may or may not be your relatives? Is that the democracy you want as the leader of Zimbabwe People First? Are you considering the interests of people first, as your party name says? I guess, no!

I doubt very much if you are a real builder, as you claim, Mai Mujuru. Genuine builders do not destroy or damage to build. As an opposition leader who has desires of leading this country, I thought it was your responsibility to encourage your party supporters not to be involved in any form of violence. Have you forgotten that people of Zimbabwe are peace loving citizens who need no such mayhem?   

I urge you mai Mujuru and your allies in the opposition fraternity to reorganize your campaigning strategies and do away with violent protests.  I understand you are aware that the hooligans that were dispersed by the police in central business district of Harare last week damaged property worth thousands of dollars. Will any one of the political parties under Nera be accountable for the losses encountered during the protests?

Lastly, I encourage you Mai Mujuru and your followers to shun any form of violence. In the event that you will be granted a go ahead to protest in the near future, it would be wiser for you to do it peacefully. You should avoid disturbing other people's peace and right to movement.
