Yes, #GodIsInIt indeed

About this time last week, I was comfortably seated among other invited guests at the National Sports Stadium as President Emmerson Mnangagwa took the oath of office and vowed to take Zimbabwe to Canaan.

It was an emotional occasion for isu hedu ana Razaro, who have always been saying that on past and present evidence, there was no other way than the ED way. I felt exonerated and actually shed a tear or two of joy.

Apa to make things sweeter, I was rubbing shoulders with Heads and State and their predecessors. And then former President Robert Mugabe saw the light and endorsed President Mnangagwa.

Maybe it is not too late for VaMugabe to salvage what is left of his legacy.

But as expected, the young boys and girls vemahumbwe ana Nelson did not show up. Pamwe vanga vaenda kumombe.

The whole of last week, the bishop was in a very good mood and today that good mood lives on. See, in this Second Republic, things are already starting to take shape.

They are not only looking good for those in business, tithes are also certainly expected to be on an upward trajectory in the not so distant future. Many of my congregants have a spring in their step because of the income they are getting from the many construction, mining and agricultural projects that ED's Government is facilitating.

Not that I do this for money, dear congregants. Your salvation and well-being are payment enough for me. Kungotendawo hangu hukuru hwaMwari. Amen vanhu vashe.

I am getting many calls and messages from fellow believers who are thanking me for praying with them for better days. Being a mere bishop, a humble man, I know that I cannot take credit for what is happening in Zimbabwe.

I constantly remind believers and non-believers alike that it is not by happen-stance that the economy is looking up. God is in it!

Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage! The Lord looks down from heaven; he sees all the children of man, so says the Lord in Psalms 33:12-15.

Forgive my manners brethren, ndanga ndatova mundima. It is so easy to get carried away when God is in it.

Greetings to you all in the mighty name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Rugare kwamuri vanhu vaMwari.

Now, as some of you might have already picked, today's sermon will be punctuated by gentle reminders. Tikagara gara toyeuchidzana kuti ED pfee and that it's irreversible, nyangwe ukaenda kuAfrican Commission on Human and People's Rights.

I hear grumbling from some non-believers. Hee bishop, ndozvinei izvozvo? Hee bishop wants to be the Minister of Religious Affairs in the Office of the President and Cabinet.

Well, I am already a minister, one of the Gospel, so I do not do this for a Cabinet appointment. I just say as it is and as it is revealed to me by Divine Inspiration.

Leaders — like ED and your bishop — are ordained by God.

Romans 13:1-2 expresses this point very clearly: "Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment."

It is my sincere hope that Pastor Nelson and his dwindling group of hangers-on will soon see the light and stop this nonsense about painstakingly trying to discredit mutumwa waMwari, President ED Mnangagwa.

We know that Nelson thinks he is now unemployed and needs to keep himself busy by holding media conferences.

But the young man should not act desperately. Handiti uri pastor, dzoka tishumire tese. We do not want Pastor Nelson to sit at home, or at an empty and dilapidated Harvest House. After all, an idle mind is the devil's workshop. Huya kuvhangeri!

ED has said his arms are open to all and everyone should join hands in rebuilding this country. Even the prodigal son was welcomed back and a feast thrown for him after he had admitted he'd had enough of living and eating with pigs.

It is now time to move on and work hard for our nation. Surely we cannot hold Zimbabwe at ransom for one day longer. You do not want to incur judgement sezvinotaura shoko dzvene raMwari. Wanikwai muri panzvimbo kana tsuri yorira.

There is gross abuse of Nelson by shadowy characters who are "advising" him and yet leading him astray in his greatest hour of need. Vanhu havana tsisti shuwa.

Where in the name of Jesus is the young man going to find $3 million to pay those legal bills, especially considering that he is currently a man of no means?

He is choking in debt, ukuwo some disgruntled MDC employees are said to be demanding close to another million dollars following a labour dispute.

Nelson could not afford a decent stage during the election campaign, and now people are demanding millions from him!

And this talk of attaching property at Harvest House to settle debts.

Nhai vanhu vaMwari, kana makatarisawo pa Harvest House paya, panobudawo chii?

Even his supporters — those who vote on Twitter, count the ballots on Facebook, and announce the results on WhatsApp — have struggled to raise precious pennies for the young man after lying to him that it was easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy.

Now we hear Pastor Nelson is collecting chegumi. Yes, God is in it zveshuwa.
