Time for unity is now
28 Jan 2019 at 11:43hrs | Views
We have the highest literacy rate on the continent and beyond, our people are known workaholics who keep their knuckles on the ground yet Zimbabwe is struggling to keep head above water, why?
Some among us sing and ululate when ever the illegal sanctions on Zimbabwe are renewed by enemies of development and progress. Usable fellow citizens went on their knees to beg for the tightening of the illegal sanctions by Uncle Sam, Albion and their like minded kith.
Our country has the great potential to become the jewel of Africa but the evil restrictive measures keep hanging over our heads like the Sword of Damocles. The problems that polarize us are far less when compared to the reasons why we must unite and speak with one voice. Success does not favour a divided nation, unity is the key. We have minerals, good soils and the much needed human capital.
For the sake of development let's put our heads together without knocking them, unify the people and bring about the Zimbabwe everybody wants. A Zimbabwe that leads for others to follow, divisions are not in the best interest of anyone.
Media houses are not helping matters by spewing out incendiary statements and rumours, all froth without beer. Our political leaders must find each other through dialoguing, sort out their differences and allow the nation to move on.
Zimbabwe we are one and the time is now. Destruction of property and animosity will keep us going in the wrong direction. Unity, unity.
