6:28am, 3 Jun - ‪+263 77 ▩▩▩ ▩▩▩▩‬: "Hwange colliery coke oven battery cools off. (breaking news)  the general manager operations mr victor rakabopa and his entire executive managers held a crisis emergency meeting at metullurgical operations board room early 6am on sunday before proceeding on site at cokeworks section were they held another crisis meeting were mr chitaukire the cokeworks manager briefed them on the sad developments also in the meeting was kelvin Ndlovu the battery technical foreman after the meeting u could see managers wearing sad faces.as of this morning battery temperature is averageing 650 degrees when in a normal setup its above 1050 degrees. Just a fortnight ago mr rakabopa visited site with personal from president 's office to try and gag their mouth. As of today the company has paid over 25million in repairs to otto simon pensioners who were brought under mysterious circumstances during fred moyo era now deputy min of mines. Money paid visa vi work done they do not tally yet the battery was the company and government major cash cow.under normal practices a 32oven battery u need to push a minimum of 21ovens for a prolonged lifespan but we were pushing an average of 6 which has dropped to 1due to other ovens failing to come out as they are now stickers due to low temperatures. mismanagement has created all this problem. Now mr rakabopa are afraid to break the news that the battery is no more as the new managing director mr thomas makore official started duty today and moreover minister of mines cde walter chidakwa was here last week were he was given a cooked report purporting things to b normal. From yesterday meeting they agreed not to break the news to the new managing director mr makore they told personal on the ground to manage the situation as if things are normal so that they said it cooled during his era. We wonder as employees were to now when people entrusted with company property are sabotaging it no wonder mr vaan was lobbying for the ouster of the whole management team though it was being blocked by certain politicians who were benefiting. Now company is intensive care mode." #NehandaCitizenReports
