Police bar ZIBAWU meeting - WhatsApp Update

13:24pm, 12 Jul - ‪+263 77 *** ****‬: Gwanda police on Friday barred the Zimbabwe Banks and Allied Workers Union (ZIBAWU) Gwanda branch from holding a meeting at Gwanda hotel that was supposed to be addressed by Zibawu President Peter Mutasa arguing the trade union had not notified the police in terms of the Public Order and Security Act.

Efforts by Mutasa to negotiate with the police were fruitless with Gwanda police member in charge Inspector Chiriga indicating their hands were tight.The meeting was then moved to today were Bank workers are set to discuss a plethora of problems including low salaries.
