9:13pm, 16 Jul - +27 82 ▩▩▩ ▩▩▩▩: Corruption now a legal practice at Beit Bridge Border post by Zimra officials and the clearing Agents,I cleared my Tractor on Thursday last week,the Agent said he thinks the Duty would be more than R5000 and he must put the Deposit at Zimra's account,I then gave the Agent R5000 including his charges,but to my suprise,when the clearing process was complete,I only got a deposit slip of $110 to Zimra account.when I asked about the rest of the money,I was told by the Zimra Guy who valuated my tractor that the price of the tractor was too high and the price I declared is too small and not acceptable.he then said that as long as he signed the papers,no one will question my papers everything is fine.I then took my tractor to the farm and no one questioned my papers.the problem I have now is that ,should I think of importing another Tractor,I don't know how much to budget for my Zimra duties because these guys just do what is right for them.
