I recently read the article by a certaim Manheru character about Zimbabweans in the Diaspora. Yes not all Zimbabwean hate their Country of Birth.

That is very true, as a Zimbabwean living in exile in South Africa, I long for home but at this moment I can not go back home as I will be a huge burden to my already struggling family.

We do not hate Bulawayo where we were born and bred, we love our homeland that's why we keep up tabs with where we come from, that why we try by all means to send back home what we can eke out here is SA that one day when we eventually retire we can go back to comfortable homes and rest till our deaths and our bones are interred with our ancestors!!

What we do not like is our Leadership that we have at the moment. We do not hate the Leadership as personalities, we don't like the way they are handling the running of Government in our Country which we all love and are proud to be from.

Our Country has a long and amazing History and its a beautiful Country. While its true that under the Leadership of our second and only President since Independence in in 1980, his government has done extremely well in the Education Department but has it done any better in other Departments like the Economy, Infrastructural Development, Social and Cultural Cohesion and Development to mention but just a few??

They have not done a pretty good job in that regard!!

We can safely say that while our Country was still called Rhodesia, the then Leadership had done an excellent job in the Economic Departments and Infrastructural Development but had done a terrible job in the Education and Nation build up Department through its institutionalised Segregation of the Country's people. So our Forebearers fought that Government to Liberate everyone into a new Zimbabwe not Rhodesia.

Now our new Zimbabwean Leadership are failing the People by running the Economy to the ground, are our People not entitled to question the Leadership because even a Grade 1 pupil can tell that the current Leadership is clueless when it comes to running of Government in this day and age!!So our people in the Diaspora not allowed to criticize their Country's Leadership if they can see that its failing??

Are the people in the Diaspora supposed to keep quiet and say they are grateful they can eke out a living anywhere in the world because of the education they got from the only Government since independence??

I don't believe that augurs well with a proper Democratic Republic.

Manheru write exceptionally well and has excellent ideologies but this is the 21st Century and a modern world people need growth and development and a sense of belonging not unbalanced ideologies that borders next to Islamic Caliphate worship!!
