18:28, 3 Oct - +263 7* *** ****: Church leaders have let the people down. The situation in Zimbabwe has become worse because of silence exhibited by our Men and Women of God.One wonders which side they are on,with the suffering masses or with the oppressors. When will the voice of faithful rebuke be heard once more in the church?
So men who should be standing as faithful guardians of God's law have allowed human rights violation to go unreproved.
On one hand you see Pastors outdoing each other on worldy things and you wonder are they God's messengers or the devil's agents. Words as unmistakably plain as those spoken by Nathan to King David are seldom heard in our churches today, seldom seen in the public press.
God's messengers should not complain that their efforts are without fruit until they repent of their own love of approbation and their desire to please politicians, which leads them to suppress truth. These Pastors who are men pleasers, who shout peace, peace, when God has not spoken peace ,might well humble their hearts before God,asking pardon for their insincerity and their lack of moral courage. When people are suffering,God,s messengers will not consider self, but will speak the word given them to speak, refusing to excuse or palliate evil. They ought to speak bravely in truth even if it means their lives are in danger.
God cannot use men who,in time of peril .when the srength, courage, and influence of all are needed, are afraid to take a firm stand for the right.Or is it that the State knows something about them thus they are afraid to say the truth? As in the Bible ,Elijah did not attempt to flatter king Ahab,he was bold to tell the king his sins had brought calamity to lsrael.
Our modern day prophets ,whose source of power is even mysterious, flaunt their wealth when the country is burning. Jesus Christ did not wear expensive robes on earth,He was concerned more about the poor, true opposite of these charltans who set classes in their churches .Time will expose you,who you represent.
