Zimsec leakages: 'offenders treated with kid gloves'

11:57am, Nov 16 - +263 7* *** ****: What I find abominable with the Zimsec leakages is the fact that the offenders are treated with kid gloves. This trivializes the crime. The offenders are out on $100.00 bail . They are not even photographed in the press or shown on ZTV. The maximum sentence I hear is a few months in jail with an option for a fine. I feel the Zimsec Act must be reviewed to make it deterrent. Schools must have exam committees which work in close liaison with Zimsec .
Security documents must be signed by all members of the committee upon receipt of the question papers. Daily inspections of question paper envelopes must be conducted by the committees and signed to certify that they are still intact.
This must be done up to the last paper. The headmaster must never step foot there. Security room key holding must be regularized to foolproof levels. Candidates must open question papers by themselves after satisfying themselves that they are secure. These are some hints I have to share.
