Zimbabwe under siege on both fronts, religious and political
26 Nov 2014 at 06:35hrs | Views
A lot has been happening in our small nation, small as it is, it has captured the attention of faraway countries.
I am not going to dwell on the current political landscape although one can not separate it from the other front, religious, which has seen a rise of prophets in Zimbabwe.
There are more prophets and churches now in our country than functioning companies.
These men who seek glory to themselves are nothing other than modern day charlatan. They are happy when their blind followers call them "papa" or Father.
Can then one look perplexed if told they are worshiping man instead of the Creator.
If these prophets are happy about it then they are of the devil. For no man should allow another man to bow before them.
People in church are now being made to follow man's doctrine instead of our Creator's Word which is Him speaking. People move from one church to another, not for the Word but for miracles.
Imagine a prophet praying for his congregants to have money in their accounts and those without accounts to hold their pockets!
At the end of the all night prayer there are innocent lives lost (May they rest in eternal peace) and the prophet blames imaginary enemies, just like his spiritual father after does.
Why is our government quite on these fly by night churches?
I recall there were people from Ghana who wanted to expose one of the prophets, who they claimed was using juju acquired in Ghana.
Like most people I anticipated their visit but was disappointed when a hidden authority stopped them. Its all about money, big houses and expensive cars.
They are no different from pagan worshipers or even worse.
Jesus the Son of Man came in meekness and fitted among the lowly and poor, not these money lovers.
They love the finer things in life while reaping the poor like the papal authorities who controlled vast nations which boosted their revenue.
God's grace is not for merchandise. Its for people's salvation.
Teach people about eternal salvation not wood wink people this temporary kingdom and worldly things.
