Ref: Police Officers pirating a cause of concern for registered operators.
Transport operators along Plumtree road are losing business to vehicles belonging to police officers. These police officers either pirate in their police regalia or they flush their police identity cards to pass through roadblocks.
Observations undertaken both at Bellevue, border post and Plumtree town have seen many kombi drivers trying to 'block' these vehicles from 'stealing' their passengers. By the end of the day these drivers and their touts would have been arrested and fined to stop them in fighting for their cause. One such vehicle driven by a police officer from Plumtree has the registration numbers ADU 1041 and is driven by a female police constable.
May the powers that be in the police force please intervene. We pay a lot of licences on the road to keep our businesses and vehicles running lawfully but we are being let down by these corrupt junior police officers.
