#NewZimbabwe - We need a perfect union
22 Nov 2017 at 11:23hrs | Views
The ideals of this big beautiful nation that we love, the supreme law that curbs all our rights and responsibilities, both of these giants have been adulterated. Now we are not all to blame but we are all accountable, we let this nation - Zimbabwe move.
Either Zimbabwean by birth or marriage all of us under that same proud flag, all of us with that Zimbabwean pride have let it go.
Now don't get me wrong, it's not too late, it's never too late. So long as we hold on to that abiding hope that dogged faith, that tomorrow will be a better day.
That moral edified belief that all men are created equal, that we the people can form a more perfect union - Black, White, Shona, Ndebele, Kalanga, Sotho, Xhosa, Shangaan. That regardless of race or tribe a man of any color can get a job in any of the ten provinces, that the kid with the funny name can still chase his dream, that moral standing that we all believe in, that a name or surname is no barrier to success.
Most of our problems are self-made, in hindsight they are caused by individual carelessness and the phrases such as "survival of the fittest". Human rights come with human responsibilities, which in turn are to uphold other humans rights. We cannot run this country as a business, it is not, nor was it ever been.
Our grandparents did not fight for this, and now we also did not fight for this: an immoral state cluttered by corruption, impoverished, filled with carelessness in every corner , who are we to uphold such a farce, not only to ourselves but to our children. Just to say, "I have no children I'm only 18", and that's one of the biggest problems. I can't be 18 and see all these teething troubles, surely now the economy has opened everyone's eyes, then again the reason behind the economy's decay is one we should all unite for.
So we can either talk around the kitchen table about all these issues, or we can take a stand, pledge one more time and fight.
We should do all this keeping in mind that although violence may be an option, it shouldn't be the first option and only if necessary, we should fight cause no else will. Zimbabwe vindicate my hope for this nation we share, not only for me but for the younger generation.
We have made this week a success by being united for one cause like those who fought for Independence during liberation struggle and now there is no doubt ZIMBABWE PROSPERS WHEN ITS PEOPLE ARE UNITED BY ONE COMMON GOAL!
Let's keep going, God bless you
