The Pakistani Cricket Board has confirmed that Pakistan would be touring Zimbabwe to play in a one-off Test and three one-day internationals in August this year, signaling the African nation's return to the longer format of the game.
Zimbabwe, which ended up without a win against the top nations in the 2011 World Cup, have not played a Test since early 2006 when the country's cricket union voluntarily suspended its Test status, granted to them by the International Cricket Council in 1992.
"We will play a Test match and probably three one-day internationals in Harare and Bulawayo in August this year," a board official said.
The Zimbabwe cricket union is also likely to tour Bangladesh in August this year to play a Test match.
"We are not aware whether Zimbabwe will first play in Bangladesh or their Test against us will be their first since September 2005," the official said.
