Craig Ervine has turned down the chance to play for Zimbabwe in their upcoming Test match against Bangladesh in favour of playing club cricket in England.
Ervine, who was Zimbabwe's leading run scorer on their recent tour of West Indies, does not have a central contract with his national side.
"It's disappointing not to be a part of this coming series," Ervine said on Twitter.
"In life, tough choices have to be made and this is one of them."
Tino Mawoyo, Regis Chakabva and Chris Mpofu will also not be available for Zimbabwe's two home Tests against Bangladesh.
