The Daily Telegraph has reported that Zimbabwe born England cricket coach Andy Flower is to resign from his post.
Andy Flower is paying the price for England's Ashes humiliation and his reign as coach is over, Telegraph Sport reported.
The England and Wales Cricket Board will announce that Flower will no longer be in charge of the England team but is expected to stay on in some capacity in the coaching structure, possibly at the academy in Loughborough.
This is the first big announcement following Paul Downton's detailed review of England's disastrous tour to Australia, which included lengthy meetings with Flower and other senior figures in the team who have already returned from Australia. The decision was taken on Thursday in a meeting at Lord's that Flower should leave.
Flower has coached England since 2009 in which time he has won the Ashes three times and led England to their first World Twenty20 title in his first year in charge.
England beat Australia 3-0 last summer in the home Ashes but succumbed to a humiliating 5-0 whitewash in the return series Down Under.
