New Zealand will play Zimbabwe at home and away among nine cricket tests included on a provisional schedule for the next 14 months.
After playing only five tests in the last year in a schedule calendar dominated by one-day internationals, New Zealand faces an extended test program involving two matches against Australia and tests against Zimbabwe, Bangladesh and South Africa.
A New Zealand Cricket spokesman said Monday exact dates and venues had yet to be confirmed, but the schedule will include a two-test series in Bangladesh, likely in late May, followed by a test against Zimbabwe in Zimbabwe in October or November.
New Zealand will play Australia in Australia in December and host Zimbabwe in January, 2012 before a three-test series against South Africa in February and March, 2012.
