Zimbabwe Cricket has today unveiled renowned former captain as new head coach.
Streak was unveiled in Bulawayo this morning.
His immediate task is to qualify for the 2019 World Cup.
Streak was once national team bowling coach between 2009 and 2013.
Andy Blignaut and South Africans Peter Kirsten and Justin Summons had also applied for the post.
South African Makhaya Ntini who was interim head coach is expected to stay on as bowling coach while Lance Klusener will continue as batting consultant.
