Akbay to ditch Highlanders

Highlanders head coach, Dutchman Erol Akbay is prepared to dump the Bulawayo based side if it fails to renew sponsorship deal with BancAbc.
Bosso's five year sponsorship deal with the bank ends on 31 December. He is worried about his salary payment.
Talks to renew the deal are ongoing.
"I will soon be going back to Holland but if Highlanders does not get any sponsor, I will not come back. I am set to come back in February but without a sponsor means not salary for me" said the Dutchman who managed a third finish in the premiership.
Akbay signed a two year performance based contract and was tasked with bringing back the glory to Bosso.
That included winning the league in his second year while the target for the first year was to finish in the top four, which he achieved.
He missed the 2016 pre-season camp as he was stuck at home in The Netherlands waiting for his work permit.
