The Warriors skipped training yesterday in Gabon after paying out to a two  all  draw with Algerian in the opening Afcon group stages match on Sunday evening.

Players  who did not get game time on Sunday only played a friendly match to keep the fitness levels high.

That sparked speculation that the  Willard Katsande captained side boycotted training over money issues.

Zifa has paid $3000 to each player for the Algeria match.

However, Katsande is quoted saying they only held a 90-minute workout on Monday evening.

"We never said we are not going to train but it was recovery day because we played on Sunday night and last night the guys who were on the bench played a friendly match to keep the fitness levels high and then the coach decided to give the whole day off and train at night and so we are training tonight (last night)," Katsande is quoted saying by the Herald.

Based on the report, Katsande said his teammates are focused on next match with Senegal on Thursday.

"The guys are now looking at the next game against Senegal. The Algerian game is now behind us. We have to make sure that we come up with a result".
