Bosso - Dembare ruling saga rages on

ZIFA vice-president Omega Sibanda has denied that they are interfering with PSL issues behind the scenes.
This follows claims that Sibanda had ordered the PSL disciplinary committee to order a resumption of the abandoned Highlanders-Dynamos match instead of a 3-0 win for DeMbare.
Last week the PSL disciplinary committee reserved judgement and there has been a lot of speculation as to what has delayed the announcement of the outcome.
And one theory was that Sibanda was against the usual forfeiture of match whenever a team is guilty of causing the abandonment of a match and instead demanded that the game resumes on 41 minutes with the score 1-1.
On Monday Sibanda denied the claims arguing that they do not meddle with their affiliate's matters.
"Those are PSL issues and Zifa we are not involved in the process. Only when there is an appeal will there be Zifa interest on the part of our committee. We are not involved."
The developments come at a time when football administrators have been blasted for making decisions without looking at the bigger picture of how violence can destroy the game.
An official that requested anonymity blasted PSL for not ensuring that issues of violence are brought to finality.
"In the Highlanders scenario, which is the latest case, we must ask ourselves what has been done to deter such an occurrence in the near future? Are we punishing the right people and are we putting the right measures? How can the fans feel the pain?
"And why has appeals made in the past still hanging in the air? We know sanctions have been made and the clubs were reported to have appealed last year but nothing heard of it again.
"It does not mean the other club should resort to violence because another matter was not brought top finality but the administrators at this point are partly to blame. Were the appeals made at all or it was a case of cases swept under the carpet?"
