ZIFA, Dr Magaya strike another deal

Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) and PHD Ministries leader Dr. Walter Magaya struck another mega deal which will see huge amount of money poured towards the staging of the President's Cup.

The Warriors will play against  Zambia at the National Sports Stadium on December 23rd in a special encounter that is meant to celebrate the rise of President Emmerson Mnangagwa to power. A legends match between Warriors Legends and Bafana Bafana Legends will also be played on the same day as a curtain raiser to the main event.

According to The Herald, the deal will cater for all the four teams that will be in action on the day.

Dr. Magaya confirmed the development.

"I have been approached by ZIFA to help them with the accommodation, transport, food and other logistics and I agreed as a long-term partner of the association. I feel humbled that ZIFA have come to me to assist in celebrating the coming in of President Emmerson Mnangagwa," he said.

ZIFA President, Dr. Philip Chiyangwa said he was grateful to the prophet for agreeing to finance the event.

"As the flagship sport in the country as ZIFA we believe football should take the leading role in supporting the new dispensation and we are very grateful to the prophet for agreeing to come on board and partner us once again," he said.
