Benjani sets up multimillion dollar football academy

Former Warriors skipper Benjani Mwariwari, ranked the highest paid Zimbabwean sportsman is set to contract a modern football academy with a private school in Bulawayo to be simple named Benjani Mwaruwari Academy.
The striker, popularly known as "Undertaker" has already secured a 99 year lease for his ambitious project.
The piece of land earmarked for the academy is along Bulawayo-Victoria Falls road.
The academy would be launched a day before his much talked about testimonial match. The official unveiling would coincide with launch of Benjani Mwaruwari Foundation.
Benjani's invitational team that might feature Nwankwo Kanu, Jay jay Okocha, Micheal Essian will play against the current national team sometime in May in Harare.
He has always said he wants to set up a football academy in Zimbabwe for promising young players and hopefully get them to play in Europe.
Benjani has played for Blackburn Rovers, Sunderland, and Manchester City in England.
Last year, respected New York sports magazine ESPN said Benjani was the highest paid Zimbabwean sportsperson earning $3 405 584 per year in a country with average per capita income of $384.
