Bosso reveal its 30 men squad with 9 new signings

Highlanders Football Club which last won the league championship in 2006 has announced its 2012 30 men squad which has 9 new signings.

Bosso last lifted the title under the guidance of former player, Methembe Ndlovu in a year in which the executive said it was not gunning for the title.

Last season Bosso finished a distance seventh. The season opens during the weekend of March 31 April 1.

Topping the new signing is former Motor Action player Masimba Mambare who is comfortable as an attacking midfielder.

Also in the list is controversial Mthulisi Maphosa from FC Platinum.

Last year he courted trouble with the police after he stabbed a Bulawayo man in the abdomen.

Heritein Masuku, Beavan Chikaka, Bhekimbilo Ncube, Dumisani Ndlovu, Atlast Musasa, Munyaradzi Diya (goalkeeper) and Peter Moyo have been included in the squad.

The rest of the squade include Arial Sibanda, Ashely Katsande (both goalkeepers), Lewis Ncube, Bobby Nkomo, Mgcini Sibanda, Status Nsingo, Ryan Howes (all promoted from juniors), Lawson Nkomo, Innocent Mapuranga, Bruce Tshuma, Tendai Ndlovu and Honest Moyo.

Others are Knox Mutizwa, Arnold Ndiweni, Simon Munawa, Munyaradzi Maphosa, Bruce Kangwa, Milton Ncube, Eric Mudzingwa, Munyaradzi Tongai, and Ozias Zibande.

New coach, Kelvin Kaindu, a former Bosso players vowed to turn the fortune of the team round.

Kaindu, a former Highlanders player during the 1997 and 1998 seasons was appointed head coach in January before the clubs elections.

Highlanders have endured a lean spell since then, without a league title in the past half-a-dozen years, although they remain the country's most successful football club, on the domestic scene, since the turn of the millennium.

Bosso have won three league titles since 2000, the most by any football club in the country, with their main rivals, Dynamos and CAPS Unnited, winning two league championships each.

Gilbert Banda and Louis Matawau  left the club to join FC Platinum while Rahman Kutsanzira is reported to have joined Caps United.

Former Highlanders striker Njabulo Ncube  who was trying his luck again has not made it into the team Also not featuring in the team are Arnold 'Majaivana" Tshuma, Warren Dube.

However, two Zambians  Nasha Kaaya, George Mubitha  reported to have been signed are not on the final list.
