Bosso closes in on Adidas kit sponsorship

Castle Lager Premiership football giants Highlanders are close to sealing a multi-million dollar deal with leading sportswear manufacturer Adidas for kit and replica sponsorship through their main sponsor, BancABC.
In what could turn out to be the biggest kit sponsorship deal, negotiations between the German giant and the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League have reached an advanced stage.
BancABC marketing executive Cynthia Chizwina said yesterday: "This is for all the three teams that we sponsor (Highlanders, Dynamos and Black Mambas). It's not about a kit sponsorship, but we also want to have a structured approach to replicas.
Chizwina said she is not at liberty to disclose finer details, but that is work in progress and we should be ready to make a formal announcement soon.
BancABC have three-year deals with the clubs signed last year and all don Adidas jerseys.
Besides BancABC, the Bulawayo giants have sponsorship deals with Bakers Inn and Savanna Tobacco, who are both not in direct competition with the bank.
Highlanders is one of the biggest franchises in the land and command huge support across the country.
