HIGHLANDERS have been hit by injuries ahead of their Castle Lager Premier Soccer League encounter against Buffaloes in Mutare at the weekend.
Bosso had five players, Graham Ncube, Heritani Masuku, Bhekimpilo Ncube, Milton Ncube and Honest Moyo picking up injuries in their 5-3 win against Hardbody last Sunday at Barbourfields Stadium.
Graham, double scorer in the Hardbody match injured his arm while tussling for the ball with the other four picking up ankle injuries.
In an interview yesterday, the Highlanders' team doctor Xolani Ndlovu said Bhekimpilo and Moyo would miss the Buffaloes game while Masuku will have to pass a late fitness test.
Masuku came from the bench against Hardbody and scored Bosso's third goal. He limped off in the 85th minute and Highlanders had to play the remaining minutes with 10 players.
As he went out, Milton and Moyo were running with difficulties but they held on until the final whistle as all the substitutions had been made.
Milton scored a hattrick for Bosso in the first match of the season when the Bulawayo giants beat Blue Rangers 4-0 and last weekend he was involved in most of his team's raids which resulted in goals.
The former Shooting Stars and Motor Action utility player seems to be enjoying a new lease of life at the Bulawayo giants.
Moyo and Bhekimpilo have started all Highlanders' two games with Bhekimpilo coming out in the second half in both matches.
In the absence of Moyo, Highlanders' coach Kelvin Kaindu might play Lawson Nkomo on the right side of defence and then use Atlast Musasa as leftback.
Kaindu might push Milton wide on the left side of the midfield, include Masimba Mambare in his starting team and then push Peter "Rio" Moyo to the centre where he will play alongside impressive Mthulisi Maphosa and Simon Munawa.
Weekend fixtures
Dynamos v Black Mambas, Caps United v Harare City, Hardbody v Hwange, Blue Rangers v Chicken Inn, FC Platinum v Shabanie Mine, Quelaton v Motor Action, Buffaloes v Highlanders, Monomotapa v Gunners.
