Kiglon Sunday held Highlanders to a draw in a Premiership soccer match played yesterday at Barbourfields Stadium#000000" face="Georgia, 'Times New Roman', Times, serif"> yesterday.
Bosso scored first through Abraham Mbaiwa in the 17th minute and the visitors got their equaliser through Edmore Chitato in the 38th minute.
Kiglon had an upper hand over Bosso creating several chances in the second half but were unlucky.
Highlanders players, who had threatened not to fulfill yesterday's match protesting over unpaid salaries and winning bonuses, changed their minds at the last minute after meeting chairman Themba Ndlela in the morning.
But conspicuous by their absence were regulars Menard Mupera, Protasho Kabwe and Francis Kanda. Coach Mkhuphali Masuku said they were not feeling well.
Bosso's man of the moment Joel Ngodzo received a pass in the centre before making some deft touches and setting up Mbaiwa.
Mbaiwa did not hesitate and let off a screamer from inside Kiglon's half, which left goalkeeper Philip Nhete watching, sending the sizeable number of Bosso supporters into wild celebrations.
With Bosso seemingly relaxed, Chitato equalised, seven minutes before the half time whistle.
Impressive Kiglon striker Washington Pakamisa, who kept Highlanders defender Zephania Ngodzo on his toes, received the ball on the left flank and spotted his colleague Chitato who let off a thunderous shot which beat Bosso goalkeeper Ariel Sibanda.
The first half belonged to Bosso, but the absence of forceful Kanda was felt as they failed to capitalise on the numerous chances that they created.
