NOMADIC Njabulo "Tshiki" Ncube has resurfaced at the Bulawayo giants, Highlanders' pre-season training sessions amid reports that he has always been a wanted man by the technical team.
Ncube who left the black and white army in controversial circumstances in the mid season transfer window in 2011 when Bosso was under Mkhuphali Masuku, has been a regular at Nico United in Botswana's B-Mobile league, having joined them from Botswana Meat Commission.
He left Bosso in 2011 despite being the top goalscorer with six goals at the time. It is believed that he sealed his fate at Tshilamoya with his now famous penalty miss against former club Motor Action at Barbourfields Stadium on 28 May. After that miss his performance was never the same. Bosso lost the match 2-0
"Yes, Tshiki is with us," said a player at Highlanders.
Highlanders coach Kelvin Kaindu also confirmed that Tshiki was part of the players attending training at Ascot, where Highlanders have shifted base from Hillside dams.
"He is training with us but at the moment I cannot say much about his future although it depends on what he will show us," said Kaindu.
It is the second time that Ncube has had a trial run at Highlanders since his unceremonious departure after similar trials last year where it is reported he made the grade on the field of play but could not agree personal terms with the club.
"He has always been wanted by Kaindu and last year the coach was deeply disappointed that he could not have him after being impressed during some friendly matches during the 2012 pre-season," said a source at the club.
He was one of the players that were eventually recommended by the Zambian but the former Motor Action and Railstars star allegedly came up with what the club felt were "outrageous" demands, leading to the collapse of the negotiations.
