Triangle 1 - 2 Bosso
Highlanders edged Triangle at Gibbo Stadium yesterday to maintain their clean start to the season but finished the match without their coach Kevin Kaindu, after he was sent off for remonstrating with the referee.
Kaindu was dismissed nine minutes from full-time, but the setback did not stop Bosso from registering their third successive win.
The victory saw the Bulawayo giants maintaining their second position on the league table after leaders FC Platinum also won their fixture against police outfit Black Mambas.
Highlanders drew first blood in the 25th minute through Bruce Kangwa, whose angled shot beat Ashley Reyners who kept goal for Triangle.
However, Bosso's lead proved temporary as Willard Gondo pounced on a loose ball in the 38th minute to beat Highlanders goalkeeper Munyaradzi Diya.
It was Gondo's second goal in as many matches after also finding the target against Shabanie on Easter Monday.
In the 52nd minute Triangle had a chance to take the lead after a neat exchange of passes between Nhamo and Charles Makoto who later shot over the bar with only Diya to beat.
In the 82nd minute substitute Masimba Mambare who came in for Honest Moyo tapped the ball home to give Highlanders the insurance goal.
They are in second place with an inferior goal-difference behind unbeaten FC Platinum who registered a 2-1 away win over Black Mambas at Morris Depot.
Last season's top-goal scorer Nelson Mazivisa scored his fifth goal in three matches as he grabbed a brace for FC Platinum, while Nicholas Alifandika's a well-taken free kick gifted Mambas a goal.
At Gwanzura Stadium, CAPS United beat Black Rhinos 2-1 in a match where all the goals were dramatically scored from the penalty spot. Elsewhere, Motor Action sensationally crumbled in the last three minutes where they conceded as many goals that added to a first minute lead by Harare City at Motor Action Sports Club.
Tendai Ndoro scored his second match of the season to hand Chicken Inn a 1-0 win over visiting Tripple B at Luveve Stadium. Results: Triangle 1-2 Highlanders Black Rhinos 1-2 CAPS United Black Mambas 1-2 FC Platinum Chicken Inn 1-0 Tripple B Motor Action 0-4 Harare City.
