Bosso's Mambare dilemma

Highlanders are not yet certain if they can use Masimba Mambare in their Castle Lager Premier Soccer league match against How Mine following the midfielder's late return from trials with South African side AmaZulu.
Mambare failed to arrive in the country on Thursday evening as initially scheduled but was now expected back on Friday. Club assistant coach Bekithemba Ndlovu said they are concerned about the player's fitness level.
"We are yet to decide if he will play. Ideally, it would have been good if he had trained with the rest of the guys the whole week. But we are yet to meet him so we are now in a dilemma because we are not sure of his physical and mental state," Ndlovu said.
Mambare will wait to hear his fate from the trial stint that began early this week. Zimbabwe youth international Brett Amidu has already been signed by AmaZulu. It would be a test of Highlanders' title march against a How Mine side that boasts a host of former champions' ex-players.
Former Highlanders captain Gilbert Banda, Thabani Moyo, Brighton Dube, Menard Mupera, Hebert Dick and on-loan Arnold Ndiweni are some of the players who have once turned out for Bosso.
"The fact that they are on position four on the log means they are a good side and we have to respect them. They also have many of our former players and maybe that is where we can get them because we know how the guys play," Ndlovu said.
Highlanders are tied at the top with FC Platinum but have a superior goal-difference.
