A Zimbabwean defender plying his trade in Zambia says he is ready to dump his country for Zambia.
Zesco United's Zimisileni Moyo says he will not think twice about switching his nationality if coach Herve Renard gives him a Chipolopolo call-up.
Speaking during the team's weekly press briefing yesterday, Moyo, Zesco's consistent left fullback for the last three years, said there was a big difference between Zambia and Zimbabwe when it came to national team selection.
"I feel that I deserve a place in the Zimbabwe national team but I have not been given a chance," Moyo said.
"The difference between Zambia and Zimbabwe is that here they give different players chance and they select a lot of players. They picked over 160 players for national team trials, but in my country they restrict to 18 players each time they are calling players.
So, if an opportunity to play for Zambia arises, I can't hesitate. I can switch since Zambia and Zimbabwe are one people," said Moyo.
He used to play for Railstars in Bulawayo.
