The Benjani Mwaruwari under 16 Youth Festival reaches last eight

The four Serie A teams namely Highlanders Academy, Bantu Rovers, FMH Academy and Street Set are through to the semi-finals after eliminating the two Serie B representatives Iminyela Stars and Luveve Juniors, two high school representatives Christian Brothers College and Magwegwe High School.

Highlanders academy and Bantu Rovers finished top of their respective groups while Street Set and FMH Academy finished as runners up respectively thus setting a mouth watering semifinal between Highlanders and the France Ndlovu led FMH academy.

The teams have already met in the league and Highlanders managed to edge their neighbours by a single goal.This tournament has presented FMH a chance to revenge that defeat in what promises to be a closely contested game as both teams are on top of their games.

Bantu are set to lock horns with the ever improving Street Set in the other semi-final. Defending champions Bantu go into the semis without conceding a goal and are favourites to reach the finals.

Ten players were vetted out on suspicion of age cheating as Zifa Bulawayo province Junior League intensifies its fight against age cheating.
