How Mine's good run of form was ended on Saturday after they succumbed to a 1-0 loss to rivals Chicken Inn in the Bulawayo derby played at the Barbourfields stadium.

Chicken Inn came into the match guns blazing as they fought to penetrate the How Mine defence and the breakthrough came early in the seventh minute when Tendai Ndoro broke the deadlock with a fine strike that eluded How Mines's keeper Pedzisai Gumiremhete.

It was Ndoro's seventh goal of the season as he proved once again why he was the top scorer in the league.

The second half was a see saw affair but in the 82nd minute How Mine got a lifeline when Chicken Inn's defender Guide Goddard brought down Warren Dube inside the box forcing referee Nkosana Duna to point to the penalty spot.

Chicken Inn's keeper Njabulo Nyoni was the hero for his side when he blocked the resultant penalty taken by Thandazani Ndlovu to deny How Mine the much needed equaliser.

How Mine missed the services of enterprising striker Simba Sithole who was away for national duty as Zimbabwe was playing Malawi away in an International friendly.

The three points ensured Chicken Inn went above Harare City to tie with How Mine on 20 points but How Mine have a better goal difference.
