Highlanders finally sealed their marriage with global sports-wear giants Adidas.
Under the deal, Bosso got replica jerseys for fans while the team received their kits and casual wear. The replicas will be sold for $50
BancABC brokered the deal for Bosso.
BancABC managing director Hashman Matemera said they started negotiations with Adidas last year and had hoped that the kits would be delivered before the start of the season.
"One of the things which impressed us is the seriousness the team has with the sponsorship that we have with them," said Matemera.
Under the Adidas kit deal, Highlanders will get seven percent from the sale of the replicas jerseys that will be sold to fans.
It means an approved retailer will get the merchandise from Adidas in South Africa and the club will get the small percentage as their own profit.
The merchandise will be sold at the team's home matches and at approved outlets. The sealing of the deal by Adidas and Bosso marked the first time that the global sportswear giants would be bringing jerseys specifically designed for the Zimbabwean market.
Highlanders chairman Peter Dube said, "The sponsorship has made Highlanders a part of history and partnering Adidas will allow them to be among the best in the world."
